Gen2 suspension crossmember under cover...

might give that middle plate a topcoat of sunrise red rustoleum
to match a red truck on the underbelly where the sun do not shine upon

You still replacing that old clapped out truck one piece at a time? You do realize its a lot less money in the end just to buy a complete truck.

Perhaps It takes some getting used to comparing with the MT gen1 and the way it zips or doesn't

Hi!))
It sounds like the nuts should be welded to the frame to hold the bolts. If they keep spinning, you might need to get a welder to fix them or find an alternative fastening solution. Double-check the diagram and consult your dealer for precise information. Good luck with the repair!

this may be a cause of dissimilar metal rott but IDK
its a subassembly of the frame so the part looks to be replaceable with a new piece and new nut welded onto it
the nut rotted off with the bolt but the frame piece its welded to has NOT a lick of rust that i can tell onit

Black looks better, if anything the color aluminum would look nicer than that. I coated my trucks engine shield on both sides with cosmoline 4 years ago...still has no rust, and looks new.
