Running boards

Thinking of adding running boards to by 2017 SR5 double cab? Just worried the road salt will rot them out and or the hardware?? Cubataco... They look awesome on your truck!!

I have the same truck... just light silver. I like those factory black running boards. Are those stainless steel? or just black powder coated? The only running boards that would not rot off my 2002 Tundra (due to nasty road salt) were stainless steel ones. Thank you for the pic bdarnold.

Just powder coated, we have very little road salt down here. I really don't know what they're made of, it didn't say on the window sticker, I'll have to investigate.

They are made with lightweight aluminum it is suppose to be chip and rust resistant.
