I lose a little coolant overtime
Was getting bubbles in my expansion tank, and the coolant wouldn't pull back into the radiator once the engine cooled down it would stay all the full but radiator would be low. Have replaced the cap once already. was dead set thinking has to be the head gasket Welll..... Now I'm lost I got one of the block test kits to check for hydrocarbons in the coolant and I sat out there doing it for 20 minutes with a fully warmed up engine. It stayed blue the whole time....so now I'm not sure if its the head gasket or something else. Any help would be great.

I can’t help you but someone can. We will need a year model and the size of engine and mileage

Most likely 2005 4.0
Yup it is. And posted before when I thought it was the head gasket for sure because of symptoms, but after doing the block test kit several times with no trace of combustion gases I'm super lost . so I'm replacing thermostat, rad cap, upper and lower hoses. I took it by a mechanic and asked what he thoight on it. No over heating amd truck runs quiet and very well with it passing the block test he doesnt think it's the head. His exact words were ive never had a tacoma in here that had a problem with a head gasket and have been doing this a long time. So idk. Also used the cooling system pressure test kit from autozone and it lost 1.5 psi over the course of a few hours so pretty slow. A coworker was having similar symptoms in his tundra or tacoma I don't recall which he drives turned out to be 2 tiny pin holes in top of radiator. So I have my fingers crossed in hopes its something small ove overlooked
