Excellent Comparison of 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road vs TRD Sport

When you look at the Tacoma TRD Off-Road it's hard to compare it from TRD Sport. How to do it? Jeff Teague has yesterday published this excellent comparison, comparing 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road vs TRD Sport.

By the way, which one is more preferable for a daily driving?

I would say the Sport is preferably better for a daily driver who is not off-roading all the time. Sport does not have a locking differential. I have a Sport myself and go to work and back and maybe hit the dirt once a year if that lol

I have a Sport and it's offroad all the time, all. the. time. Lol
I know that pricing was on a 19 sport, which has a lot of extra fancies than my 17 sport, manual, but it was like 15k less than that sport, which at the time was about 7k less than a loaded inferno off-road, manual, which the dealership only teased me with and couldn't get their hands on. Since I was dead set on a manual, the Off-road manual didn't have have crawl control (not interested anyway) but had the tech package, sunroof and a locker which didn't look like 7k worth to me... I like simplicity and this 17 sport with 3 pedals is as simple as they get. I just got a useless hood scoop that I'd love to get rid of and color matched flares and bumpers.
It's gotten me everywhere I've wanted to go, those lockers only work under 10 mph in 4L anyway...

People think because it doesn't say "offroad" it's not capable.. my sport has taken me everywhere I wanted to go offroad.

I swear if I ever find myself driving through your neck of the woods I'm stopping by so we can swap hoods.o_O

I have a 2nd Gen 2014 TRD SPORT 4x4 no rear locker....hood scoop and color Match...Which caught my eye...u can always add things..i.e.(front and rear lockers)...but if I would buy a 3rd Gen...it would be TRD Off Road 4x4....just like with everything you grow with knowledge...Part time off road or full time doesn’t matter...just too know u have it... feels good...(4x4)

I have a 4x2 sport I take wheeling every once in a while. Haven’t gotten stuck yet.
It’s currently my daily which I eventually will retire because work has been putting a lot of mileage into it. I think overall it’s a great truck. And I went with it over a OR because of the hood in all honesty. Just my preference.

Right! I barely use it, but I know I'll get where I'm going.

I test drove an 18 Sport and off road. The sport has better (more padding) seats but the suspension is stiff enough to rattle teeth and has a stupid hood scoop that does nothing but get in your line of sight when parking. The OR has more firm seats and a much better suspension, and no fake hood scoop.

I bought the OR.
