New guy looking for lift guidance on ‘18 limited

I have heard 3” lifts cause least amount of issues with suspension and most closely represent stock ride quality. I have a limited with 18” stock rims and would like to keep the stock rims and install some off road tires. What is the general consensus on best way to go? Is it true 3” lifts cause less issues than say a 4” lift? Any tire recommendations? Thanks for the help. Much appreciated!

Welcome to the forum!
Above 3" requires hacking up the frame and hurting your wallet more than many 3" lifts if you are 4x4; if 2x4 you can use lift spindles at a reasonable price.
With factory wheels and fatter tires you may rub the upper control arms and the frame when fully turned...
4.25" - 4.5" backspacing works well.
