The end result with my truck is to have a comfortable DD with the capability of doing light to moderate wheeling.

Couldn't have said it any better. I've always wanted a Toyota 4x4 since before they were called Tacoma's. So I love the idea of the value and longevity of these trucks along with the idea that it will go anywhere I want to within reason.

Cool.. I dd mine. Actually I never intended to change my truck except for a wheel and tire package. Then went out once and was hooked. Lol

End result for my truck is to race all the popular desert races. Ultimately MORE 1400 class. The most current goal is to get it to one of the most capable weekend warrior/desert DD around. (I can drive the 20 miles to work everyday on pure trails)

That's a crazy video  makes me NOT wanna take my truck to Mojave anytime soon lol...

As for my goal, I'd like a nice expo rig / dd. Something that's practice for daily use but still very capable. Nice full MT setup, no glass, some light bars, plate bumper, and that's about it. But also want to keep it super clean and stealthy looking. With the dd luxuries like leather and a quiet cabin.

Not really sure. It's my dd so I don't want to get too outrageous. But she does little a little plastic surgery. I can follow right behind my uncles (05 F350 & 07 Ram 3500 dually) to elk camp. Even in a nasty winter in the mountains. But, I still think I could do more...

I'm sure its not, but I'm still scared lol. I don't really have the funds to be fixing things at the moment so until the extra cash is laying around, I wanna stay on the safe side.

Is the water crossing in Mojave avoidable? It looks pretty deep! And I have lighting wired pretty low under the bumper to be submerged. Also don't have the diff breather mod done yet.

Water crossing is gone now. BLM filled it in.

I guess that's good and bad news. Good for me and others who aren't capable of making the crossing, bad for those who enjoyed it.
My 1st trip to Mojave was on mid travel. I went through the water hole. Ur truck is quite capable Brutha.
