2006 catalytic converter P0430

I got the P0430 code and was wondering if I deleted the catalytic converter will I cause any damage to my Taco?
I don't have emissions where I live so that would be an issue, also will it affect the performance at all. Thanks guys.

Are you sure that’s what it is? It looks like that code is somewhat generic. If you take the catalytic converter out you will still have the code?

I will have to check. I just got the code and was looking at options. I live in the middle of nowhere and its a 3 hours drive to the closest shop.

U want to do it right?

Get long tube headers from urdusa.com
Also there get the crush gaskets from urd
And to shut that light off yet retain the check engine light function for OTHER later possible issues, get the urd 02 SIMULATOR.

Does cutting your cats off have any benefits?

HP gains? Better MPG?

never seen dyno proof.

IF they are falling apart and clogging the system........... YES
otherwise, Ive yet to see any dyno proof of oem HEALTHY CATS themselves being a restriction. Words, yes..... but never anything objective.

That said, going longtubes is proven to increase tq and hp. Thats due to the design of a header, as even short tube headers (with cats) can increase hp and tq.
