tonneau cover

brand new to Toyota and Tacoma. got a 2017 Trd off road that came with tie-down rails in the bed. I want to get a tonneau but wondered if these rails would need to come out first or be cut? wanted some input before I ordered off of the internet.
thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
Any tonneau cover made specifically for a Tacoma should fit perfectly and allow access to the tie downs and rail system.
Toyota has used the rail system in the Tacoma with a composite bed since the gen two starting in 2005.

Like @Raeburn and @Bogunn said you will be able to use the rails with a tonneau cover. I will say the Bakflip MX4 is a great tonneau cover. I recommend this set up. I have it on my 2017 off-road long bed.

It folds back giving full access to the bed. 660C8D97-B219-49F8-B7D1-BFEF22009286.jpegThe rail system is still available for tie downs. D577105F-3067-4110-827E-0EE3CF70BF81.jpeg

It is low profile and looks great.
