Adding trailer light connection on 2018

I am trying to add trailer light connection to my 2018 access cab Tacoma. There are no connectors in which to add a T wiring kit. Only a plug with ten pin connections, Three of which are male pins and the other seven female. I will try to post photo. What do I need to do to tap in for trailer lights?
Thanks
JM

You don’t have the tow package?
You might need the adaptor or wire harness. It should be the same for the 2016.

No tow package. Just installed a Curt hitch which is a 30 minute job. My harness has no place to tap except for the connector in the photos above.
I am hoping all I need is a plug in connection for this one connector.

That’s all you should need.

might contact etrailer.com. They have a video installation for the 2016, which is likely the same.

E trailer sold me a T type wiring kit that tells me to remove each tail light assembly and connect. But I have no connectors to connect to. The only way I have to tap into my wiring harness in the tail/turn area is the one connector in the above photos. Is it possible I have a factory wired trailer connection and need only a special connector for hookup. The harness I got from etrailer definitely won't work.

That’s very possible.

I found my problem. I didn't realize the connectors behind the lights were attached directly to the bulb housings, I was expecting to see a connector as a stand alone further down the harness. My T adapter will now work as per the instruction sheet.
Thanks

Sounds like you’re in business. Let’s see some pictures. Welcome to the forum.

Will do. I am also installing a Peragon aluminum bed cover which should be done soon. So far I like the product.

Just finished installing Curt hitch, T harness for trailer lights, and best of all a Peragon
Aluminum bed cover.

I saw a youtube video that shows new wiring running all the way from the rear of the truck to the battery. It sounds like the wiring that you installed doesn't have to go to that much trouble. I am also wanting to add trailer wiring to my 2018 Tacoma and wasn't sure what to order. I also need to add a receiver hitch, which isn't too difficult from what I have seen online.
