when the vehicle begins to brake rather abruptly due to it seeing something in its path does the brakelights come on?

So when it is on with the cruise in the fast lane and someone pulls in front of you, your car slows down and taps the brakes. You never maintain cruise speed because everyone passes you. So...keep my 2013 and drive in front of the slow ass car in the fast lane tapping its brakes...

You can bypass the adaptive cruise. We have a choice to use adaptive or regular ol’ cruise

Then it should be off when you turn the key and be turned on by the driver. It is a menace on the road. My road rage was kicking in the last time I was in the city over this system on other vehicles...It’s like traction control automatically reengaging over 30...it’s going to kill someone because the vehicle decides what is safe, not the driver. If you trust AI, then cool...wait until they tell you you can’t lift or modify the trucks and cars because of those systems.

Easy brotha... woosah
I don’t like it anymore than you do. Sadly, it’s the future though. It’s technology that requires more technology to be born; dumb asses too. People focused on their phone going 70mph rear end stopped traffic at a construction zone all the time. Ppl back out of a parking spot without easing out until they see if a car is coming. Kiddos dropped a toy and driver tries to reach for it while driving through a parking lot and run someone over. List goes on... Pretty soon it’s going to be required in every vehicle that goes into production...
Off topic.. I just heard about an electric dirtbike! I said wtf! No gears and no brap. Takes all the fun away! It has advantages to win races though. Torque on demand no matter the speed. No stalling. Opens doors to more racetracks in delicate towns. They’ll just think the Jetsons are in town hahahaha. That’s probably the future too.

There is a guy at work that has the electric street bike...I hate to say it, took it for a ride and was impressed...except for what happens when the sun goes down...lmao.
