Looks better than my 14'. Maybe the tailgate is stronger. The POS gate on mine sucks. Also hope they come with a Compass and Outside Thermometer....that would be a step forward, and while they're at it how about headlights that turn on by themselves that would be an improvement too.
I didn't...
Stock suspension, and tires. Truck only has about 2000 miles on it, hoping it gets a couple per gal better with time. I drive very light-footed, as far as acceleration goes as well.
.
Got less than 2000 miles and have yet to see 19 mpg. I did get 18.4 driving hwy at 70 mph once. Short trips in cold weather 13-15 mpg. ( Access Cab, V6, auto, 4wd....driving in 2wd)
Thanks......."Big Brother is watching us" ehh! That's the first time I heard of the "Black Box" theory....sounds reasonable to me. Thanks for the explanation.
I called Discount Tire today. They told me that the OEM wheels are:
+30 offset and 4.49" back spacing.....do these dimensions sound correct?
Also said that can go to a -12 with stock tire size. If I'm correct that would be about 1 5/8" further outboard than stock.......am I on track?
Looking to get different 17" wheels for the summer use. Confused on what I need as far as + or - off/set and that type of specs.
Fitment for non-lifted 2014 TRD 4wd.
I don't see the value in the "Entune" package at all. Give me an AM, FM, CD player along with a Compass/Temp/Auto Dim mirror ......I don't have a Smart Phone so the new "superior radio head" is useless to me. $650 must take option on my Sport is disappointing.
I was offered a $200 refundable after proof of purchase of OEM Toyota parts or service. Customer Service Rep said this is not a blanket good-will offer for all 2014 Tacoma buyers. (also noted that the original 2014 brochures) have been removed from the dealerships and a new "corrected brochure"...
Anybody try the Philips Extreme Power 60/55's. If so are they a brighter OEM type light (meaning not the blue tint...ie: fake HID look) ?
Does the Sylvania ZXE have the blue tint? (not looking for a tint )
If I go with the Firestone Ride Rite Kit.....is it a good idea to add the Daystar Airbag cradle kit as well. Or can the Access Cab Tacoma be frame lifted without tearing the airbags?
No thanks, the Summit will fit between the wheel wells. I'd rather keep the center of gravity a low as possible. I'll bet that sled deck makes a Taco rock and roll.
That Yamaha is probably shorter than my 146", and heavier too.
I'm not a thief, but if I tried to steal a tailgate and failed, I'd probably kick it and leave a big dent in it. Not sure if you can really out smart some looser trying to fiddle with your stuff.
Ok, still asking stupid questions concerning my 1st Tacoma.
I really like the ride of my 2014 TRD Sport 4x4. That being said, on occasion I will be loading my 2012 SkiDoo summit X in the box for 200 miles drives from time to time. Realistically, 3-4 times each winter. The sled loaded with fuel...
