Putting duals on a Tacoma? what are you planning for the bedsides?

I wouldn't, I paid 1500, but I still think that is too high, it shouldn't cost more than 1k

Just because there was some confusion in a thread on another forum, this is for those trucks with Push to Start, it doesn't apply to SR/SR5 and Manual transmission trucks that have a physical key.

Yes a 255 is narrow in comparison to a 265, by 10mm to be exact. A 265/65R17 is factory size for sport so if you're looking to upsize you may want to look at 265/70R17

I think it has to do with the learning transmission, if you put up with the initial learning curve it responds well, those that decide to mash the pedal all the the time are the ones with the problem.

Do you plan on offloading? backing up while turning? the short answer is no.if you want a 33" tire go with a 255/85R16 and factory sized wheels and even then you will need to remove or change your mudflaps.

As close as the dimensions are between the 1st Gen Tundra and the 3rd Gen Tacoma it still feels much smaller. I still miss my Tundra but don't miss the fuel economy. I also think they could have made it so 4x Sheet goods could fit between the wheel wells of the 3rd gen

A negative offset makes your wheels stick out further. those wheels will fit

Back in the 90s I used to install kits from Rostra and Audiovox, not sure how old your truck is but if you k ow the dealer that sold it they will probably know who installed it. other options are call or email Rostra and Audiovox ETA I did more research, I can't post links but if you look...

So stick to a 17x8 or narrower wheel, avoid negative offset, a 0 offset and and 265/70/17 should fit and not require a CMC, you may be able to go to a 255/75or80/17 without a CMC but it really is dependent on offset being closer to stock.
