anyone ever tried vinyl wrapping a door handle?

anybody have any solutions for blacking out the door handles on a 2016 limited? seems the only options are plasti-dip (which i am concerned about wear/tear on door handle) and a replacement set of oem handles. trying to fully black out my truck, any help is appreciated
