I can still add the 5100's with the 3" leveling kit?
What would be the difference with out the leveling kit and just the shocks. I was told it wasn't a good idea to just add the 5100's and extend them at full stretch that it would be a stiff drive.
Toyota recommended this kit to maintain same factory ride. They install these kits on all new lifted taco's they sell at the dealers. How am i losing 3" of travel ?
Sure feels the same when I drive it.
I was also going with the 5100's but ended up with just doing a 3" pro comp leveling kit, much cheaper. I also wanted the factory ride to stay the same and this was the best way to go. Here is the before & after.
Im looking into lifting my truck 3 inches. I've been looking at the bilstein 5100's front and rear shocks, says I should get atleast 2.5" lift on the front and 2.5" on the rear?
Other people have told me to just get a leveling kit that will do the same?
Any suggestions on what the difference...
Here you go guys, lucky to say I had no issues, no tire rubs. I didn't have to remove the mud flaps nothing at all!
