Extremely difficult to reach proper emission regulations now a days. That's why GM has diesel fluid additives to squirt shots out of that fluid in the exhaust to keep the emissions low. Toyota would not bother.

Factory has terrible range unless you upgrade to long range. Probly close to 1200 with parts and labour. Installed several 'fortin' aftermarket starters on tacos. Worked good. Closer to 500bucks. Actually installed aftermarkets on some on 2016 tacoma as well. Push to start sucks how it shuts...

Seen a tech resurfacing front rotors on a 16 tacoma with 4000km few weeks ago. Don't think customer came back. Maybe the customer was too hard on the brakes from new and didn't get properly broken in so they overheated and warped. Could happen to any new sets of rotors. But ill keep an eye...

Nothing more convenient then knowing your problem free for a few years. New model out, maybe hold off a few months to get the final kinks out. But then again it's all gonna be warrentee. Nobody made their taco last 200k miles withought replacing moving parts. The rubber from Gaskets and seals...
