Don’t do it. You should always park your manual in gear with the parking brake on. And in the event you just once leave it in gear and start it...oops... I can come up with a million scenarios that can go bad. Bottom line, step out and start it. IMHO...

I do ATF every dune trip. Same thing. I would pay someone $120 to do it as it is messy and time consuming. I am unfamiliar with this product but if it works 1/2 as good as the ATF does, money well spent.

Not that I have ever done it before or ever got stuck 50 miles from civilization for 3 days and had to embarrassingly get help because I went on my own.

First rule in any excursion...especially in snow...take a friend. Second...in snow, always take snow chains, even if you have the biggest bad ass 4x4. Lastly, check coms in the area. If there is a cell tower near by, great. If not, CB (channel 9) or 2-10 meter radio from Rugged Radio or PCI...
