Have driven the truck some and all is good . The truck had 500 miles on it when I installed the calibrator so not much to base a running difference on . Just rolled 1000 miles on it yesterday and happy so far . The TRD exhaust is a little loud but really quiets down at cruising speeds.
I did the install last weekend . Pretty easy to do , however the instructions are not very good . I velcroed the unit to the metal in the kick panel next to the ecm .Have not driven the truck yet though .
Got the calibrator today and hope to install tonight . Not sure if I will notice a difference or not since the truck hasn't got but 215 miles on it . How important is the custom tune? By the way , where is the ECM
I ordered a MAF calibrator last night and was wondering about the install . I am not into the tuner world and am ignorant to the procedure on tuning it . Only mods on the truck are TRD cat. back and a Volant dry filter cold air intake
What type of mods are you wanting to do ? I added Clazzio seat covers to mine and they look like factory leather seat . They are a bit cheaper than Katzkin but you don't remove the original covers to install them .
I feel your vacuum leak is a good guess. If it were an ignition failure it should get worse under a load and an injector issue would be consistent . A smoke machine is awesome tool for checking for leaks . Spray carb. around the hoses and intake gasket works too , but BE CAREFUL as it will...
