Whippertruck

Idk though. I may just stop where I'm at and then get a GTO like I always wanted.

I'm not sure why TRD recommends not using an intake because plenty of people do it without issue. I didn't get a CEL and it seems to have woken the truck up. I don't have my AFR gauge in just yet but I doubt it is anywhere near lean. The TRD tune is a really safe tune. However the new style TRD is known to cause a lean condition even on a stock engine. I went with this Airaid because not too many people use it and Volant is know to cause a rich condition which I guess could have helped when I went with a smaller pulley.

What year do you have? I have a 2012. I'm wondering if that's why they told me I couldn't run one due to it would run to lean.

2010 and they told me the same thing. The instructions say not to use one or to mess with the pulley and fuel system. Plenty of peopld have an intake on their TRD supercharged Tacoma.

Ok good to hear. Thanks again whipper. Let me know how she does on the track since you put the CAI on. I'm curious to see what kind of gains you got.

I too have the TRD supercharger, what's the difference with the airaid intake, is it worth the money, been looking at them for a couple weeks now. Thanks

I felt a difference but I don't have numbers to back it up. I was going to dyno before and after but I didn't want to spend thr cash. Dyno time is about 95 an hour so yeah.

Nothing much different from the other ones. I just liked the looks better and I didn't want what everyone else had.

Thanks a lot, I'll have to dyno mine before and after... If I do I'll let you know!!

I didn't record those runs but a later one says 7.4 seconds. Not sure if that's correct because the SG can be slow to update. I'll try some other time with a phone app.

Thanks. I'm SOL if they were too bright since I'm not able to dim them with the truck's dimmer.

No doubt. I like how the blue breaks up the amber. If you get some down time can you post a video of them working?

I'm getting the dash done to match the gauges.

Yeah I'll get one. Only the boost gauge works right now. It's very responsive for being electronic.

Nice. Can't wait to see it when it's done. I'm glad I don't have the amber lite gauges. I guess they call it white. I have a 2012. I can't remember what year they changed it. Where did you get your gauges at if you don't mind me asking. I'm think I might go that same route. Put the pillar on my xmas list. Hope Santa is nice to me this year.
