Smelling gas around my truck

I've got an 01 tacoma and lately I've been smelling gas when I walk around the truck or when I step out of it. Anyone know why and how to fix it?

maybe your gascap doesn't screw in as good anymore?

Have you checked for fuel leaks?

Nothing's leaking. Gas cap seems to go on just fine

I'd have your emissions system checked out.

Even after they just put a new frame in couple years ago

You need to get an EVAP test done with a smoke machine. It could be a few different things. Charcoal cannister perhaps, EVAP hose popped off.... anything....

Did you ever figure it out? I'm no mechanic, but I'd assume it's related to the fuel management. Maybe your injectors or fuel pump... Does your truck ever run funny? Which end of your Tacoma do you smell it the most? Is it possible that your engine isn't igniting the fuel efficiently and you're smelling whatever isn't burning off? Maybe one of your fuel lines crapped out under the hood. Like I said, I'm no mechanic. Just thinking of possibilities...

Most likely the o ring on the gas tank.

The filler hose cracked, you tend to smell gas often when you have a full tank..
