Chrome to black

Wanting to get rid of all the chrome on my truck and I figured my grill and emblems I could just Plasti Dip. Now for my rear bumper I'm not really sure what's best to use since its a lot larger than the other chrome areas. Has anyone on here dipped their rear bumper?
 
I dipped my bumper a few months back. It looked pretty sweet but the dip started to pull back near the license plate, almost as if it shrunk. I did the dipping outside on a windy day, I was told it's better to do large areas indoors, so that's why it didn't last.
