Fuel injectors

How often are they changed? Has anyone taken them to a shop to get cleaned? How much was it and at how many miles? Has anyone changed them out themselves and how hard is it? Thanks

I would change them only when they go bad. I had my fuel injection service done at 30,000 miles when I replace my spark plugs. I have a kit that I used at work, but the service was about $150. It shouldn't take you that long to replace injectors. Roughly, an hour to get the fuel rail off.

Use Chevron Techron Fuel system treatment every 3000-4000 miles with any Top Tier High Octane Fuel and drive for 1-2 hours on HWY mostly and 60-80! AMSOIL PI , Lucas Fuel Treatments and others are also good, add to gas and drive and go,thats it will take an Hr to notice,just carbon and dirty injectors, do this every 3-4 months and should never happen again!
