Starting issues

I have a 2008 Tacoma and had an interstate battery that went dead and replaced it. After one week the same issues of a slow start is happening. Example turn the key and nothing then turn again and it starts. AAA tech guy who jumped the car last week said the starter sounded strong. Any suggestion from anyone went experience?

Check all connections to starter, battery and alt. Take it to auto zone and have the put the machine on it. Sounds like a bad connection or alt is going bad.

bad cell in battery, I got a Duralast AGM 27F Battery, Glass Matt Battery , similar and made by same company as Optima, Johnson Controls ! Lots Cheaper and just as good as optima and much cheaper than Optima, 2-3 X s power and Longevity as regular OEM Battery!

Hello. I have 98 Tacoma, manual transmission. Truck has had issues starting. I’ll turn the key, and press the clutch and I can hear a clunk, but the engine won’t turn. Sometimes I can hear it start to turn over then it stops. But then occasionally it starts. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Have your battery & starter checked at oreilly’s or similar.

If both check out ok, check resistance in battery cables with multimeter (option B) & check fuel filter/pump as option C
