New 4x4 off road

Only TRD would know. I'd shoot them an email.

Just go aftermarket because they all just make noise. No an aftermarket intake won't void warranty.

Hi, I just got a new 16 Tacoma. Does anyone know when the TRD air intake is going to be available?
Hard to tell....

Def dont want them to hurry, (the actual manufacturer on the intake) last time it was a race between AFE and K&N to win toyotas contract, and stamp the trd logo on their intake design.

somehow, k&n got the wrong diameter intake tube and they didnt notice in their haste to win the contract and neither did toyota. So the newest "TRD" for the 1grfe engine is pretty well known to cause a lean conditon. Oh, its CARB legal..... but lean while being mean, isnt good.

Eitherwho, dont worry about being brand loyal. As I pointed out, "TRD" doesnt make anything anyhow. Get the intake u like the sound of, and hasnt had any issues yet (if they are out).

No hp gain?
Probably not much more than u could see on a set of 3 dyno runs on a totally untouched bone stock truck. Things will fluctuate a few hp (while doing NOTHING different to the vehicle) and thats prolly what u will see printed on the intakes box is that few hp that was in the companies favor.

Well it looks like a cat back then, or just some high flow mufflers.
Prolly fine with just a muffler u like the sound of. Odds are u wont outflow the stock size tubing, so save some money.

I have to laugh at all the 2nd gen folks who bought a catback unless they had rusted or smashed oem tubing. Many are the same or 1/4" larger than stock.... and anything along the lines of 3" for them is funny as hell unless they are force feeding that engine.

Dont be 1 of them... find ur true bottlenecks which for the 2nd gens was the manifolds and the ypipe.

Thank you for the info. I'm just a taco noob looking to see what the best H/P gains are for some more power on the trails
