FOR THOSE THAT HAVE A 3" LIFT or THE ToyTec Blistien 3" lift kit...

Is it necessary or DO you have to change your upper control arms?

Because I was reading some reviews and some guys mentioned you'll have to change the upper control arm for proper alignment but then some other reviews didn't mention anything about changing the control arms...

Please give me some feedback.. thank you

Yes.
2.5" is iffy

3" seems to be the magic number.

If u are referring to the toytec "ultimate lift" kit, its also the worst riding lift ive ridden on.
Cranking down the preload on those 620s and 5100s just didnt feel like a great combo.

Id go with ome if i wanted a 3" lift.

Thanks for the feedback though..I'll look into that set up..

I was considering that lift kit.
Its basic...... the single add a leaf wont be very compliant.
620s shouldnt be preloaded that much.
5100s were valved to handle 550lb coils and be compressed, not 620. Does their concoction work? Yes... but its far from ideal. I mean, u can hold up a vehicle with a floor jack, but i wouldnt suggest it.

Ome has longer coils, and their struts are valved to handle their spring rates. Its not cobbled together.

Id also go with a progressive add a leaf like icon or wheelers offroad.

Downsouthmotorsports.com has good prices, free shipping, and great customer service as well. If they dont have ome on the site, call them. The site has been changed a little, and they DO carry ome, and also carry more than is on the site.

Also, diff drops dont do much good on 2nd gens from what i have read over the last 8yrs.
