Using Amsoil Products

Hello Fellow Tacoma Junkies,

Does anybody have any experience using Amsoil full synthetic motor oil? My wife and I have an old 1999 Tacoma with the 3.4 liter V6, and we have always used Castrol full synthetic motor oil on it. I have heard that Amsoil is a superior product compared to the other manufacturers for years. Does anybody know this to be true? I use Amsoil synthetics in my transmission, differentials and transfer case. I do know Amsoil was one of the first manufacturers to produce full synthetic oils.

Thank you in advance for all of your replies.

Paul

I think Rambo is a dealer, im not 100% sure tho.

Ive never run it personally.... 88 nissan pickup ran dino oil and was sold at 300+k miles with stock engine, trans, and rear end.

2006 tacoma pushing 320hp to the wheels, mobil1 5w30 factory filter....just shy of 100k.

I just dont see the need

Wow 320hp. You sound like a real slowpoke:)

I run Amsoil. So far so good but I don't really have anything high performance. I use their OE oil in my supercharged Tacoma.

Ive used it in all my vehicles since 1974 ... when my Honda civic of 50k miles lost its rod bearings on conventional oil ... was using Shell fire n ice ... Ive had nothing but good results in mileage and long life with Amsoil ... and my change intervals have been between 9k and 15k and always used the Amsoil filters.

Ive been running it in our cars and 2 Harleys for years. I change every 5K miles and run Mobil1 filters.
