Bilstien 5100 shock settings

Bought a 2017 Trd off-road Tacoma. Having 5100’s installed this week. What setting should I use? Going with a slightly taller tire than stock. 265 75 16. .85 is what I’ve noticed most people have gone with ? It was brought up in another Tacoma thread that they changed the shock settings for 2017? Starts at . 65. . Any input on shock setting preference?

The 265/75/16 will be fine without any lift. If you want it leveled set it to the first setting and look at it. You can always change it later.

Congrats on the 2017 OR. I love mine. Good choice on the 5100’s. Welcome to the forum.

U can always park the truck on level ground.
Measure the front wheel hub to bottom of fender flare.

Use floor jack under crossmember, lift the jack a little until u like how level the truck sits front to back.

Remeasure the distance from wheel hub to bottom of fender flare.

Do maths

Theres YOUR preferred setting for YOUR truck.

I’m not sure exactly what the height is at the second setting but I know for sure it is at the 2nd from the top. There is a little extra weight in the from but it’s not much. It’s a light bar and KC leds. It does look like there is a lot of extra weight but it’s the grill guard on my Charger. Thanks Brandon! Also, hope this helps. I didn’t find much info when I did mine so I glad to help you out and I’m glad to see your going with the 5100’s. You won’t regret it.
