I'm sure the tail gate is sturdy enough to handle the weight of the rear wheel of your bike. Remember, you're only putting approximately 1/2 the weight on the tailgate. That's less then a couple of your bro's sitting there. I've done it with bikes on other trucks and never gave it a thought.

Hey, can you guys check to see if the bottom lip of the your Snugtop is finished? I have a brand new Cab HI. Mine is not and if you're sitting in a car, it looks like a white line running the length of the shell at the shell/bed junction.
