    Vibrations in steering wheel

Yea...maybe the lower air pressure would change the "road harmonics" enough to help a little. I know mine would be worse on a long nice smooth stretch of road. Keep us informed....good luck.

    Vibrations in steering wheel

I've never seen anything like this. As it says, it all has to do with caster/camber and toe in. I had mine aligned once after about 200k miles. Didn't make any deference of course. After getting a good set of tires my vibration went away. I'm convinced (with mine) that was the fix. The best...

    Vibrations in steering wheel

MAN!!!! This all brings back memories. I had this same thing during my struggles. I was under changing oil or something and noticed about 4 inches of very large weights. I can't remember what I did or even if I did anything. With me, It was always a time thing. Couldn't do without the truck...

    Vibrations in steering wheel

Yep...I did try that a few times....But also, this is my one and only truck, work and everyday driver. I'm self employed and just couldn't do without it. So I put up with it. Like I've said....probably my fault. should have put "better" on. I'd like to have an update on how "stnsfnst" is...

    Vibrations in steering wheel

Roger that. Discount Tire has been very good on that. But, they still could never get them balanced.

    Vibrations in steering wheel

I went through many different brands....still had vibration. I had a guy at a tire shop tell me that he "guaranteed" Michelin" tires wouldn't shake. I asked him if they did vibrate, would he then replace them with a cheaper set. He said nope....couldn't do that. I said "not really a guarantee"...

    Vibrations in steering wheel

Oh yea....I know what your saying. I had multiple balancing guys say Tacomas are just hard to balance. I couldn't accept that. I even had one of the technicians at the dealership I bought it from tell me "well you know those Tacomas ride rough" I didn't even bother telling him I am talking...

    misfire?

Well,,,,,,as this kinda thing goes,,,,,just when I thought the miss fire was gone, it's back. I started it up yesterday morning and it seemed liked it was running on 3 cylinders for about 20 seconds. It clears up quickly. I haven't seen a "check engine" lite yet. I sure could use some advice.

Sputtering while holding a steady speed.

I had a little missing on my 2.7 02. I actually did get a miss fire code though. I finally changed the fuel filter after 350K miles. Seems to have stopped the miss. good luck.

    Vibrations in steering wheel

I had much the same on my 02. FOR YEARS and multiple tire brands. Always had vibration. Even the replacement Dunlop Grand Tracs. Same exact that come on it. Any way... finally a young fellow at Discount Tire actually knew what I was saying and said he knew that I needed to put a "better" higher...

    misfire?

A quick up date....If anyone cares....I finally did replace the fuel filter. With the help of a few youtube videos. Most suggested removing the fuel lines from the fender well and from the injector rail. I didn't do that. It was not THAT hard once the front wheel was removed and rubber flap...

Most miles ever on a clutch?

Mine is a 02 I bought new and have over 350K. Still original clutch & pressure plate. Still doing fine. Original alternator, starter, ac compressor also. It's just been a great truck.

    First Generation Tacoma Pics

Mine is an '02 with 2.7L & 4 X 4 standard shift. I ordered it because I wanted an inexpensive work truck. I didn't want to spend over 20K at that time. It invoiced at $19500. Now I can say this was the best 20K I could have spent on transportation. I've put 350K on with very little problems. It...

    misfire?

This is my first time posting. But I finally need some advice. My 2002 2.7L Tacoma 4 X 4 has had a multiple misfire codes. And had the common O2 sensor also. I replaced the O2 sensor but after a few miles the lite came back on. I have had a miss when first starting it up for about a year now. It...
