I am a nerd and actually read the manual. I run it 10 miles a month to keep the mechanisms all working just for maintenance. Never know when you might need it. I rarely go off-road for just for fun. I just need 4wd for that occasional muddy field parking while dirt biking.

I have the same experience. I was careful and used a soft cloth. I started to think it was the detail kid at Toyota from the original delivery. I only had dust from its first 1000 miles. Wierd. Really look bad in some light. Other light it is less noticeable.
