Hey guys. New to my 16taco. Just wondering what intervals y’all do your maintenance and what tasks you do at what mileage. For example I’ve heard every10k for oil and tire rotation but it being a fairly new vehicle I’m unsure of when other preventative maintenance intervals should happen. Thanks!

At what mileage do you guys do preventative maintenance on your transmissions? And what do you do to prolong the life of your transmissions?

Hey guys! 09 tacoma here. Just reached 200k. What would you recommend for preventative maintenance so I can last another 100k? I do keep up with the oil and plugs. Did my tranny fluid and gear oil as well. What should I focus on and what should I not waste my time on? Thanks!

Anyone ever have to replace your steering shaft ? My ujoint is getting sticky and it's hard to steer. Was wondering if I'd be able to do it myself or do I need to bring it to a shop? Or possibly temp fix for a while. Thanks guys, Enjoy the day

What fluid would you recommend? I have some Toyota brand ATF laying around when I worked on my tranny. Think that would suffice?

I've been having some problems with my power steering. It's been getting pretty stiff lately. The fluid isn't low but it could use a flush. I'm hoping a flush with new fluid will fix the problem. Has anyone done a DIY flush or do I need to find a special pump. I've been watching YouTube videos...

So does anyone here use high mileage oil? I've been using full synthetic and was wondering if high mileage oil would suit better in my trucks old age. Any knowledge? 167k

No plowing. Snow was about 8 inches. It makes a clicking sound when I shake the wheel at a stop. I think it may be my powersteering. Feels like someone is underneath hitting the floor with a hammer

We were trying to get the fluid up to operating temp where it would just trickle out of the overfill hole but instead we had to add a whole bunch of fluid and still no drainage out of the overfill. I'm assuming the fluid level is just below the hole where we want it but there's no knowing unless...

We bought 7 quarts and used all of them. But when we dropped the pan at first we probably only lost about 3 quarts and what ever was in the Old TC. You think it would be down that much? It says it holds 11.5 quarts.

So I was diagnosed at the dealership with a right rear wheel bearing. 09 Tacoma 4.0 4wd. Now it's to my understanding that the bearing is pressed into the axle. $800 to fix? Or can I find cheaper than the dealership?
