Another bed bites the dust. 
I’ve seen people cut it off and add an off road looking bumper that wraps around that section some. There is someone that makes fiberglass bed replacements for them. Last I checked it ran a couple grand for one.
If you can find a used bed somewhere that’s in better condition to swap it out or find one that has damage in other places that you can use the spots you need as a donor like B-man said.
You can try to bend/shape and weld on a piece of sheet metal if you’re good with that sort of thing.
