2010 Tacoma drivetrain noise

Hi, I recently bought a 2010 Tacoma regular cab, 4 speed automatic. Unfortunately it has a wine whine coming from the drivetrain at 50 - 60 mph. The dealer said that they thought it was coming from the differential carrier so they replaced it under their warranty, but the noise is still there. Anyone else have any experience with this? One person suggested that I grease the driveshaft slip joint. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Beings that you bought it used there's probably no way of knowing what gear oil is in the rear diff. I'd start by changing the gear oil and if you have a locking rear end make sure you put the additive in. My personal choices of gear oil would be Amsoil severe gear, Red line, Valvoline Syn, or Mobil 1. Those are just my personal choices and I'm sure others have others.
