2016 tacoma sport suspension noise

Was fine until I did some off Road. It sounded like my old F-250. 26 k curre t miles. Dealer said it was a common issue and that I needed new pads for rear leafs. According to parts dept, they are thicker. So I made an appointment and after I left it for the day they told me the pads are on back order. I really dislike dealerships. So I used a honey like rust inhibitor and sprayed the pads while on the lift. No noise 2 weeks running. I think the new pads are a bandaid.

What type of suspension noise was it? I have a 2018 tacoma sport, 2700 miles, not even had the 1st oil change yet and the passenger side front suspension is making a weird low pitch crunching/clicking sound every time I hit a bump or when I turn to the left. Figure I will have the dealer look at it when it take in a few weeks from now for my first service. I do go off road about twice per month but nothing remotely close to extreme though.
