Your not sounding stupid. Lift are a lot of money and you need to ask questions. The safety of you driving at 70 mph on the interstate deserves question about a lift. The guys on here feel the same wayl

That's the way to get rear lift since the truck is on leaf springs.

A leveling kit levels the front of the truck with the rear since the rear is naturally higher. However they are usually small spacers.
