A/C problems

My truck will not blow cold air. So I thought it needed to be recharged but when I went in to recharge it in my shop I noticed my clutch was not spinning when the truck was on so I attempted to spin it by hand to see if it was ceased up. Now today I have taken the belt off and was about to start taking it apart to put a new clutch on and it is spinning by hand. Could it be the compressor?

I'd check for a loose connection first. Is the clutch getting power?
