Borla is not bad. It's all in what you are looking for as far as sound. YouTube what your looking at and see you that the sound you might like. I have a 2012 and have the TRD catback. Not loud but rumbles just enough to know its there.
 
I have a Magnaflow on my '13, not too loud until you jump on it from a start. Nice rumble on the freeway.
 
exhaust is subjective.
I have a small borla to help with rasp, followed by a flowmaster super44
