k and n cold air intake

It makes more noise from the engine compartment, might feel a bit more throttle response. But, only if you dyno it will you then see any increase if at all ! I always install an aftermarket intake and a larger exhaust on whatever I'm driving.ImageUploadedByTaco Forum1456520856.676945.jpg

I installed my FIPK about 4 years ago with about 100k on the clock. I have a 2004 as well - TRD 4x4 with the 3.4 and auto. I noticed a pretty decent improvement around town in throttle response and acceleration, but it does get pretty loud when climbing a hill at highway speeds and the tranny downshifts. I wouldn't hesitate doing it again, though. I've had one on every vehicle I care about for the last 15-20ish years.

I had an Airaid on my 2000 v6, I liked it, I ended up taking it off because the noise just got a little to much for me. Really didn't notice any performance improvement. Sounded cool though.
