I have a 2017 tacoma with Entune. I think the 2019 headhunt includes Apple Play.

Seems like an easy replacement. Can anyone tell me, are all the connectors on the back are the same?

Aside from getting CarPlay, are there other pluses/minuses to consider?
 
Does the 19’s have CarPlay? I was under the impression that was a new feature to the upcoming 2020’s. But honestly, even if the 19’s did have it, unless you got extremely lucky you’ll be shelling out a bunch of money for that stock head unit
 
Yes, or the 20s. Sorry about that.

I'm basically happy with what I have except that I'd like CarPlay too. The local after market dealer wants about $1600 for a good Kenwood and front camera.

But if I could get the 2020 head unit for less than $1000 or so, and I do the install, I'd probably go for it.
 
You can buy that on crutchfield with integration and install kit with a premade wire harness for just over a grand if you want wire less carplay, much cheaper if you get plugin only carplay.
