Replacement tailgate lock

Hi folks,

I'm sure this has been asked a billion times before, and if there is an older thread that has the information I'm looking for I'd be much obliged if one of you could link it for me.

I have a tonneau cover on my 2014 tacoma and I would really like to be able to lock the tailgate. I heard pop and lock has a couple good replacements, but I'm not sure if they account for the backup camera I have. What would be the best option for me?

You'll Think Toyota will add a tailgate Lock after almost 10 years, they added a rear backup camera, what's adding a tailgate lock...just thinking out loud!!!!!!

My 2002 Tundra had a tailgate lock??? Why not the Tacoma

2014 locks are different. I don't see one on the link supplied. Ckeck pop and lock website.

Just installed the PL5400 on my 2014. It works fine.

Installed mine Wednesday night. Super easy install. Bolt technology is awesome. Nice to be able use my truck key to lock and unlock it.

Have one on order from pop & lock. Almost went with a white one to match the truck but then decided to stick to black. Meanwhile I have a hose clamp that I attached from a post I read. It's a cheap/temporary/extra fix.
