Speed sensor a

    What cause my speed sensor a to go out

    Usually damage to the wiring or sensor if work was recently performed.

    Ok. Like my speedometer works fine but the check engine light came on

    Could also be debris on the sensor itself.

    Where is it located?

    There's one at each wheel. Check which one it is then inspect it and the wiring. There is one bolt holding it in.

    It’s located on the transmission so would it be on the bottom

    That is a speed sensor but not a wheel speed sensor. Make sure you are looking at the right one.

    I believe the trans sensor is at the bottom at the output shaft. I haven't paid too much attention to it.

    Nope, its 2wd. All of a sudden the light came on and check it out and the guy said speed sensor

    Did you install anything resantly like splindles?
    Coulda snagged it.

    You can mud in 2wd. @Bojangles does it all the time :D

    Unplug the battery and it fix it.
