Hello all, I have a 2005 2.7L taco that I had to replace the head gasket on. Everything came apart fine and reassembly has gone well, until it came time to put the timing cover on. We've been stuck on getting the timing cover back on for three days and now it feels like we are making it way more difficult than it should be. The engine is currently still in the truck. Do we have to take off the oil pan, or can it stay in? The timing cover came off just fine with the oil pan in place, so we're assuming it should go back on. Has anyone else ever had trouble with this?
