Unloading a 270lb toolchest by yourself.

Got this $100 off.
I thought i read it was 200lbs the other day.... box says 268 tho.
Home depot guys loaded it, and i was unsure how id unload it. Figured id call a few ppl and just leave it in my bed for awhile.

Then i got home and realized i had a factory pulley system on my truck.
I put a cleat/anchor point on each side of the side rails as far back as possible, put a ratcheting tie down on 1 side and a regular tiedown on the other side..I hooked them in the middle.
The rubber bedmat was out of the truck and sitting on the garage floor as a buffer.
I pulled the box as far as i could slide it (easy since the bed is slick), then adjusted the tiedowns.
I used the unlatch function of the ratcheting strap to lower the toolbox like a pulley..simple, easy, effective.
It needed to be on a side for caster installation anyhow.

It was cheap, and it served 2 purposes.
Relpaced a 3 tier crapsman and a workbench.
Now mrs jangles has more room to park.
Heres the old stack for electrical ****, dremel, screws/nails, computer ****.

Not bad but not done....
1 side is totally unused, and the 3 tier crapsman is empty now... these drawers are deeeeeep.

Looks good. That sucks u had to do all that yourself.. If I didn't live in Missouri I'd been glad to help. [emoji16]

Old crapsman tier sold for $175, and i threw in the bench.
I think thats a good deal for both parties.

Now i have a bunch of styrofoam and cardboard to dump.

Dug looks like he needs a fritter after all that!

Bahahaha, thats funny cuz i had to pickup a part at the dealership today too. I got the parts guys some donuts. Dug did have a long ass day, but he got some pumpkin filling earlier :)
Poor dug.. [emoji99]Lol . Yeah gotta take care of those parts guys. [emoji16] I do the same at my local dealer, plus I worked with them for a couple years.. If I need something for my vehicles they are on it!
