What is this block for

Does anybody know what this is or does. This pic is from the front of a trd off road. Not weilded, looks like it held there by that bolt. It is on both sides. Kinda looks silly

I have no clue. It's a single square tube the runs all the way across... I've seen a couple guys who took it off with a grinder, on my sport it sticks out on either side and with my steel bumper it sticks out like a sore thumb...

If I remember right I think you can remove them. There's a bolt on each side. Remove the bolt and each side will slide out. It's not one piece. Check along the top and front for the bolt. I have CRS syndrome so I'm not 100% sure but 98% sounds better.

you can see the bolt in the picture on mine, I just wish I knew what it was for. it seems useless
