Ok, here's what's going on; If you look at the brake drum, there will be a band of rust at the edge of the working surface. When you try to pull the drum off, the shoes will get caught on it, making removal exceedingly difficult. You want to make sure to hit that rust lip with a disk grinder...

Your mileage difference is a function of aerodynamic drag, not engine speed.

The difference is all in your head. You've probably changed how you're releasing the clutch.

Check them all, with the AC off and on, and compare results. Might also want to do a pressure check since the pressure switch can keep it from engaging.

4x4 is also 2.7. What you need to keep in mind, however, is gear ratio. If you put on bigger wheels, you need to compensate for them with lower gearing in the differential. Prerunner/4x4 have 4.1:1 in the differential(s).

Running on water was most certainly a fraud. However, electricity can separate water into H2 + O2, and H2 can be combusted in an engine to produce H2O exhaust.

One of those is low battery voltage. I would start with that. Have the battery tested, replace if appropriate, clear the codes, and see if it comes back.
