My friend he is a Svc dpt Manager at Toyota told me exactly the Same, new Tacoma looks cheaper to the eyes but the technology applied to them is very advanced specially on higher trims. I think is a trade off

Tundras folds up leaving a big open floor space without having the front seats on the way.

Fuel consumption y size was the deal breaker for my when I was in between a Tacoma or Tundra. Glad I pick the Tacoma. What I like most of the tundra was the way rear seats folds up making the rear cab very spacious.
