I've seen that pic of this gen4 over a week ago...just can't recall where. I guess it's been floating around on the inter-web.

These trucks are getting too old, could be almost anything at that age from a fuel issue to electrical. Whats the mileage on the odo? When was the last time it had a good tuneup?

Would be great to hear if the op could report back when this issue is resolved, or not instead of one, and done. Btw, it's not common imo these transmission should act like that. I can tell you if the transmission acted like that in my tacoma, it'd be parked in the dealers lot till they fixed it.

You inspect/check them...if noisy, or excessive play, replace them....otherwise just grease them.

Geeez, don't stop there, remove the radiator. and fan clutch to. Seriously, i have no idea what you're doing to replace a serpentine belt, but it sounds like you need adult supervision.

Change all fluids.....All of them if not done recently. Check, or replace pretty much of everything else. Most of all if able to read...it's usually in the maintenance section of the trucks owners manual.
