BG battery post protectors...

Is this the first time you have ever changed a battery? This battery 101 knowledge.
Btw, you don't need all that chemical spray cleaner chit. Just a shop rag, and elbow grease is fine. Don't forget to use those battery post wire brush tools so you have a nice clean terminal connection.

battery has been replaced twice at Sears with the dieHard
last time was in 2o15 and perhaps 2oo6 before that
it looks like they put these type of post pads down to prevent ANY corrosion on the posts, all they are is dirty caked with dirt cannot tell of any corrosion caked materials

I only buy deka's when replacing a battery now. Seems most of the other lead acid brands no longer are as good as they use to be.

we shall see about that, tacoJoel
U are likely spot on there with that
the battery in my rig at 9yrs of age is likely on its last legs
hopefully we can hold out until the next AAP special deal for perks members and get all kinds of goody goodies

only the time will tell...
Truck will be 33 yrs of aged then
Perhaps over half a million miles also with another pilot bearing
