Not a fan of Toyota right now!

sadly, you have not had poor warranty service, unless you have had a Ford. They are penultimate "not my fault" sayers. Our closest Toyota dealer had a young service writer transfer from their Ford dealership, he had the audacity to tell me the gap between the carpets in my New 08 Tundra was...

Driver seat no pouch on back

ha. ha.... not a bad idea to cross reference some of the gps data that is out there, particularly route selections. More than once I have had a gps route me to a rural mail box, rather than the state park campground....they can be miles apart, and have poor choices to turn a travel trailer.

Driver seat no pouch on back

I noticed that too, I had a pocket on the back of both seats in my Tundra, and kept a road atlas in one and binoculars in the other.

I like the OEM. Had one in a Tundra for 10 years, no complaints. That said I had a similar aftermarket mat (comparable weight and material) that lasted from from 1985 until 2000, in F150, hauled many cords of wood, gravel, sand etc., and it was still functional when the F150was replaced with a...

    Dual Battery

dual batteries are a good idea if you have a winch, and use it often. Need room to mount the second battery, and an isolator so that both are kept charged, but the one that drives the winch cannot draw down the one that starts the truck. I had this arrangement in a '97 Tahoe, at work. In a...

    Towing with 3500lb weight limit

For what its worth, the same truck with a V6 has a tow capacity of about 6500. So the big differece is the engine. As others have said, don't over tax the engine, an you will be fine. My first travel trailer grossed at 7500, I pulled it with first generation Tundra 4.6, which has a tow...

    Currently sitting at dealership

Sad, I have generally had good warranty service from Toyota, only two issues, one I contacted the corporate customer service number, the second the service wrighters' supervisor. The second was funny, the service wrighter had worked for a Ford dealer, and said the gap between front and back...
