    Tacoma Engine Oil

Great advise here!! Tried NAPA and Mobil 1 0w-20. Currently using Shell Rotella Gas Truck 0w-20 and a TRD filter. Just make sure you get a high quality cap wrench for the oil filter housing. I really miss the standard oil filter.... my only complaint.

Gear oil for your 3rd Gen.??

Yeah. I just noticed that Toyota specs 75w-85 GL5 for the diffs. I also noticed that most people are using 75w-90 GL5. I’m guessing using a quality synthetic gear that meets specs... should do the job.

Gear oil for your 3rd Gen.??

I was thinking of using amsoil for the fromt and rear diffs. However, I saw 6 quarts of Redline 75w-85 gear oil for 78.00 bucks on ebay. I have been watching loads of Amsoil youtube vids by Eben Rockmaker. That guy kinda reminds me of the Schamwow guy from a few years ago.

Gear oil for your 3rd Gen.??

Thanks for the reply B-man. I was thinking of using Ravenol 75w for the transfer case. I'm guessing a quality syn 75w-90 will do the job for the front and rear diffs. I have heard lots of info regarding Amsoil products.

Anyone change the front and rear diff. gear oil and the oil in the transfer case?? I believe Toyota specs 75w-85 for the front and rear diff and 75w for the transfer case?? Can you use 75w-90 syn. gear oil oil for all three??

Best Cost Effective Way to Improve 3rd Gen Entune Premium

Yes... and the Crutchfield web-site should tell you if they will work with your Tacoma. They will also include hardware, harnesses and instructions. Making installation very easy. If you have a question... chat with a tech.

Bridgelord... I just purchased some Kenwood speakers for all four of my door and added Subaru tweeters to my stock head unit. I'm getting great sound!! Ask a tech at Crutchfield.. they have always "hooked me up" and I have never been unhappy with their products or advise.

    Jaw drop oil change

Joisey... This is the kinda information I wanna see concerning Amsoil products. Anyone using 0w-20 Signature Amsoil in their Gen 3 Tacoma?? I also noticed the Amsoil oil filter and the TRD oil filter looks alike??

    Jaw drop oil change

I have been watching all of the amsoil changes done on YouTube by a dealer named Eben Rockmaker. In the back of my mind, I'm wondering if this is all slick "snake oil" salesmanship?? I'm using Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0w-20 (found this stuff on sale) and a Toyota/Lexus fact. filter. He did...
