    Possibly broke something?

I'd check all accessories and peripheral electronics. Could be back up camera lights/sensors or bed lights. I'd check all electronics to see though

Orange TRD sport with 34k AND a color matched topper for $30k? Sounds pretty decent. That's about what they are here.

    Probably a stupid question but....

If you like the wheels, I'd get them. Then sell the tires to help offset the cost of a new set of tires that will work better. Just an idea.

    Probably a stupid question but....

I'm gonna say those are most likely gonna rub, if they fit. And you are gonna definitely need suspension/drivetrain work to turn those big meats.

    Aftermarket fog lights.

No problemo. Happy Cinco de Taco Tuesday Mayo to you too.

    Aftermarket fog lights.

Yea. Just popped out the grill to get really good access. Then, I just undid the screws, and swapped them. They're a direct OEM replacement.

    2020 Tacoma Engine Hesitation

The problem is the gear ratio. Even stock, it holds gears too long. It wastes fuel and doesn't make more power. On top of that, the ratio paired with the electronic overdrive transmission constantly changes gears unnecessarily, for the sake of emissions. Toyota screwed up, setting the Tacoma up...

Plus, you can probably talk them down a lot more since lots are begging people to buy vehicles right now. Might be able to get a Pro for the price of an SR5.

    2020 Tacoma Engine Hesitation

Really? Why did it cost 8k for 4.88s? I just had mine done for just over 2k total.

    Too buy or not buy

Personally, I'd just turn it in. Then buy a new Tacoma. You'd have a new warrantied 2020, plus you could opt for newer options. I've leased before. Never again. You're only paying the dealership for what you will not own.

    Anyone running 4.88s?

Now is a great time. I think summit is having their 19% off sale still. And itll save money on fuel. It's all in how you sell the idea to the Mrs. Its an investment in awesome. Lol

    Anyone running 4.88s?

So, just got her back from having the new gears installed. First of all, what a difference. Only drove about 15 miles, and picked up almost an extra 0.5 MPG. Takeoff is smoother, with more power. I actually hit 5th on the highway, and could cruise at 65+ mph with just my big toe. More torque...

What did you do with your Taco today

Well, yesterday I washed, waxed, and detailed the wife's 4runner. Today, I'm picking up my Taco from the local off road shop. Can't wait to feel the difference since regearing.

    Possible Taco/Hilux merge

It is. You're probably better off to buy a Hilux in Europe, then import it to the US, and have it made emission compliant. About the same price, and you have a real diesel Hilux. There is a guy on base here that has a real Prado. Very cool.
